“Top Gift Ideas for the Body Lover on your List”

Friends who are into the “body” are an easy group to buy for. They love to work out, eat healthy and could also be people who are usually up to date to the trends of fashion. Here are the top gifts that fit into each of the body categories of exercise, food, and fashion: *Foam Roller/Exercise The foam roller has been around in physical therapy for a while, however, it is just now that fitness friends have been adding it to their workout regimen. Not only can it provide total conditioning, and core exercises, but it can also provide...

“What type of gift does a woman like to receive?”

The answer as to what type of gift a woman likes to receive is very simple-jewelry! Well at least to this woman. Now I am not talking about for every occasion or holiday, but for some real special event, jewelry always works for me. To me jewelry should have a special significance. Perhaps it is from a place you traveled to or maybe a family heirloom that is being passed along. Or it could be a piece from an artist that you met and admired her work. All of these would qualify as a special piece of jewelry that I would like to receive or...

Fact! Women Love Jewelry

“FACT! Women love jewelry.” Embellish, ornament, beautify, prettify, enhance, garnish, gild and trim the body. In other words-jewelry! Body is not just about exercise, food, and health. It is also about adornments to the body. I thought I would share with you some beautiful jewelry that I have seen around lately. I love jewelry! I am partial to handcrafted, vintage and unique pieces. The first piece I would like to share is a gold charm bracelet. I happened to see this on a lovely woman recently and I couldn’t help but take a picture...

Skinny Blueberry Crisp-Recipe

“Skinny Blueberry Crisp Recipe” I just love any dessert that is a crisp! This one is so healthy, delicious, and super easy. It is also gluten free! You can use any type of fruit for this recipe-peaches, apples, and mixed berries.   You can also cut the recipe in half and bake in an 8×8-baking dish too. You may not want to though because it is so good and you might want to eat leftovers for breakfast. Food blogger Alexis from www.hummusapien.com even suggested to eating this for breakfast. Well I did! Heck, it has fruit,...

Gazpacho Recipe is Gloriously Aromatic and Delicious

This Gazpacho recipe uses under ripe tomatoes in a delicious Mexican Spanish theme. If you can’t find green tomatoes, use the least ripe ones that are available. I couldn’t find any under ripe tomatoes; I just used good ole red ones. My friend Susan gave me this recipe and it is truly yummy. She used the green tomatoes, which I found better tasting than the red ones I used. Either way, make this with whichever ones you can find. The flavors in this Gazpacho are gloriously aromatic. I served this as a cold summer soup one evening last week....

Blueberry Walnut Wild Rice Salad

This is a great tasting salad! My mom made it for us last week and I just loved it. The blueberries give it a sweet taste, while the walnuts give it a good crunch. Blueberries and walnuts are two of my favorite things to eat and it turns out they are good for you too. I am also a big rice fan. My mom pulled this recipe out of a magazine. Unfortunately, I don’t know what magazine to give credit to for this recipe. I do believe, however, this recipe was provided by the blueberry organization and the California walnut association. So make it...

A Family Favorite-Linguini with White Clam Sauce

“Linguine with White Clam Sauce” This is such a flavorful and easy clam sauce. Trust me, you will make it all the time. Of all the dishes I have made over the years, my children always remember this one being made from when they were very little. They loved it then and now! Of course, now I have to substitute gluten free pasta, but you may not have to. I also eat this over cooked spinach for myself if I want some more greens. Enjoy! White Clam Sauce Ingredients: ¼ cup olive oil ½ cup chopped onion 3 cloves garlic, minced ½ cup...
